Link Alliance - Construction Updates
West End Progress: OHLE Room and Smoke Screen:
Significant progress has been made in the west end by the Link Alliance Systems team who has taken possession of the OHLE (Overhead Line Equipment) room, a major step forward in implementing critical systems. Additionally, the installation of a smoke screen has been completed and the scaffolding surrounding it has been completely removed.
Moving over to the east end, the installation of MEFH (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Fixtures) is well underway. We are thrilled to witness such positive developments on both ends of the project. The accomplishments in the west end, including the OHLE room possession and smoke screen installation, demonstrate the team's dedication to critical system implementation.
Terrazzo Flooring Completion in the B2 Concourse:
Exciting news from the northern side of the B2 Concourse: the installation of terrazzo flooring has been successfully completed. While the polishing process is still pending, the addition of this high-quality flooring material enhances the aesthetics and functionality of the area, contributing to an overall improved experience for passengers.
Improved Accessibility at Scene Lane:
To enhance accessibility, the fence at Scene Lane has been pulled back. This means Martinus has been able to open a footpath for public use. By creating a new pedestrian pathway, this development has improved accessibility for people and prioritises convenience and safety for all those using the area.
Construction Plans for Raised Floor in Signal Equipment Room:
Efforts are currently underway to organise the necessary materials for the construction of a raised floor in the signal equipment room at the east end. This planned construction aims to ensure optimal functionality and stability of the equipment.
