Introducing the Link Alliance

Link Alliance

We’re delighted to introduce you to the Link Alliance, which is the team behind delivering our biggest package of works – the tunnels, rail systems and the new and re-developed stations.

The alliance is a consortium of seven national and international companies, including CRL Ltd. It boasts members from more than 25 countries and includes top-tier construction companies Vinci Construction Grands ProjetsDowner NZ LtdSoletanche Bachy International NZ LimitedWSP Opus (NZ) LimitedAECOM New Zealand Limited and Tonkin + Taylor Limited.

The Link Alliance was selected on the back of a strong proposal that offered an experienced construction management team with the know-how to deliver a project of this magnitude.

The Chairman of the Project Alliance Board, Pierre Bourgeois, says the Link Alliance is looking forward to working alongside local communities to safely construct the City Rail Link.

“As a truly international team, we are committed, like CRL Ltd, to realising the outstanding legacy the project will leave for New Zealand’s biggest city,” says Mr Bourgeois.

Many people along the construction area may have already heard from the Link Alliance team as it gears up to start shifting utilities in spring.

There will also be a number of “meet the Alliance” events in local areas where people can come along and meet the team and learn more about the project. These events will be taking place at our Karangahape and Aotea station information hubs, which will be open from 11.30am to 1.30pm in early August. The Karangahape Station information hub is located at Beresford Square near Pitt Street and will be open to public on Friday 2 August to Thursday 8 August (excluding the weekend). The Aotea Station information hub is located at Griffiths Gardens on the corner of Wellesley Street West and Albert Street and will be open from Monday 5 August to Thursday 8 August.
