All Aboard the Vaccination Bus
One of City Rail Link Ltd’s (CRL Ltd) mana whenua partners, Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei, have been doing awesome mahi leading community efforts to increase vaccination uptake in Tāmaki Makaurau.
CRL Ltd and our main contractor Link Alliance have worked with Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei to arrange for their vaccination bus to attend site at Mt Eden, delivering important messages about how vaccination protects individuals, work mates, Whānau and broader communities from Covid-19.
CRL and Link Alliance are grateful to Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei for their leadership in this area.
The bus was present at the Mt Eden Station site on Wednesday 27 October, allowing workers to get vaccinated alongside members of the local community who also embraced the opportunity. CRL Chief Executive Dr Sean Sweeney also attended on the day showing his support for the initiative.
This is all part of the broader arrangements that Link Alliance have put in place to protect workers from the threat of Covid-19, which includes arranging vaccinations on or near sites, regular testing, hygiene and physical distancing, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
