Free Vaccination Transport

Travelling to get the jab has never been easier with Auckland Transport (AT) providing free return journeys on AT Metro buses and trains for those getting their first or second Covid-19 vaccination.

Auckland Mayor Phil Goff said while it has been free to travel by bus or train to get vaccinated, it is now even easier to do so.

“All you have to do is mask up, scan the NZ Covid Tracer QR code and let the driver or transport officer know you’re travelling to or from a vaccination, and you’ll be able to travel for free.

“It’s about removing as many barriers as possible to help everyone get vaccinated as we continue to strive to increase our vaccination numbers.”

There are many walk-in and drive-through vaccination clinics around Auckland where you can get vaccinated without an appointment.
