Mayor 'impressed' with the project

Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown at Maungawhau/Mount Eden Station

The new Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown was welcomed onto the project this month. He visited all four stations, via one of the CRL underground tunnels from Maungawhau/Mount Eden Station to Waitematā Station (Britomart).

In a news release headed “Mayor impressed with City Rail Link,” he said the project will transform Auckland’s public transport system and reduce road congestion when it finally opens.
